My list of must-read blogs for wired journalists

There are plenty of other lists like this one out there, but I was putting together my own for some j-school students who asked for advice, so I thought I'd share. In no particular order, here are some of the blogs I find essential as a wired journalist:

Will Sullivan's Journerdism
Mindy McAdams' Teaching Online Journalism
Danny Sanchez's Journalistopia
Mark Glaser's MediaShift
Richard Koci Hernandez's MultimediaShooter
Angela Grant's News Videographer
Brian Boyer's Sixth W
Angela Connor's Technolo-J
Mark S. Luckie's 10,000 Words
Patrick Thornton's BeatBlogging.org

This is not intended to be a comprehensive list. There are lots of other great blogs about journalism out there, many of which I read regularly. I like these because they represent a range of topics in online journalism and often point me to other useful blogs, articles, Web sites and tools.

What blogs do you find essential as a wired journalist? Share your suggestions or your own top 10 lists here.

It's always good to see what's out there. Here are some I keep an eye on:

Suzanne Yada does what I aspire to do with my own blog;
Adrian Monck always has great links on offer when not cutting through media and democracy (at once bewildering and terrifying that he follows my own blog!);
Christopher Wink's blog was one of first I ever read. His posts on self-promotion, personal-branding and networking always hit home with their sense of urgency;
Megan Taylor's humbly-written blog is also one worth subscribing to. Taylor's honest and personable writing about being a student of journalism really resonates with me.

Thanks for the additional blog suggestions! Paul also makes a good point about following bloggers you like on Twitter. Most of the people mentioned in this thread are on Twitter, posting links and engaging in conversations about wired journalism.

I'm quite partial to Jason Preston's Eat Sleep Publish, Pat Thornton's Journalism Iconoclast and anything that pops up here on Wired J.

I also highly recommend following Jay Rosen on Twitter — lotta out links there to blogs I've never even heard of.

Thanks for mentioning the Technolo-J blog! I'm just a contributing blogger over there, along with Ron Sylvester. I write lots more on my own personal blog, Online Community Strategist. Feel free to check that out as well.

Here are a few others I read daily:
DisrupTology
Chris Brogan
The Future Buzz

and most recently, Engage in PR.
