Jim Stovall is on the faculty of the School of Journalism and Electronic Media at the University of Tennessee.

Before coming to UT in 2006, he taught at Emory and Henry College for three years and the University of Alabama for 25 years.

He is the author of a number of textbooks including Writing for the Mass Media and Journalism: Who, What, When, Where, Why and How.

He is the creator of JPROF.com.

A novel is written -- before your very eyes

My friend Cyn Mobley, novelist extraordinaire, is writing another novel. (She's written more than 40 already.)

This time, however, she's letting the world in on the process.

Cyn writes very quickly. She should have this one done in a month or so. That's it. From idea to final manuscript.
