Interesting...

I'm not a lawyer by any means, but I'm interested in how these myths square against U.S. media case law.

In particular:

- “The faster it gets published, the better”

- “Mistakes are excusable against the clock”

The latter, in particular, actually may or may not get a pass in the U.S. thanks to the case "AP v. Walker".

Time will tell... Much of mass-media law in the U.S. was written during the civil rights movement. We'll see if we have any landmark cases left in us.

That is one of the questions i've been dealing lately in my mind: how the online characteristics affect the ethics. It seems in many places that technology is actually hurting quality and professionalism...but, sorry, that's not technology's fault.You're right, time will tell.

By the way, do you know Gomes is a portuguese name?
