Hello.
Is anybody out there?
I am really trying to find out freelance options in the Nashville area as well as insurance options for my family. Anyone got any insight?

I think that success in freelancing requires something other than a regional definition. I've done business with publications and clients around the world, and yet I tend not to travel to do so. Consider your areas of expertise and experience as a base and then find who would pay for access to them. With modern communications, don't worry about where the client is - generally they're not concerned about where you are.
As for insurance, check if there are any good insurance brokers in your area. (Check with small businesses of all kinds and see who they use.) Such professionals often can suggest a variety of potential solutions.
