Online journalism jobs

My expertise is in content analysis, and as a researcher, I love to address assumptions and tackle questions plaguing the field. One current controversy is related to what skills we should be teaching our students. There is controversy related to whether we should teach them software such as Dreamweaver or Flash. Why maintain a personal brand?

I've encouraged reporters to go out and get themselves a blog and start participating online in every social network that interests them, and maybe a few that don't, because you never know who you'll find there.



But as you're jumping into the fray online to build up a body of work and try your hand at new technologies, remember to make it easy for your friends, colleagues, readers, sources, and potential employers to know who you are and how to reach you.
