Bio: Jessica Estepa is a journalism student at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is a part-time reporter at the Reno Gazette-Journal, a content editor at Breaking Tweets, former managing editor of UNR's student newspaper and a self-described news junkie/social media fanatic. Her other interests include film music, musical theater and ballroom dancing.
While she's been trained as a "words" person, she's delving into the Web side of things by playing around with social media and teaching herself different programs.
A couple of her favorite reporting experiences include covering each presidential candidate's visit to Northern Nevada during Election 2008 (Obama, McCain, Biden and Palin) and spending an entire day in the desert with horses and cowboys. Her least favorite was appearing on Greta Van Susteren's show to talk about a murder case, but hey, she'll get over it.
