
Early Edition Media, Inc. is an interactive media company with the focus of making local news and advertising an important component of the Internet. Right now, an estimated $5 billion is spent on local Internet-based advertising. That number is expected to jump to $25 billion over the next five years. EEM is dedicated to building content-rich Internet sites with Long Island flavor and a built-in following. They make an ideal platform for local advertisers.
EEM has an office in Huntington, N.Y., and was founded by Jason Molinet in November 2006. Molinet, 36, spent the last 11 years covering Long Island news and sports as a reporter for Newsday. He brings journalistic values and credibility, along with a strong entrepreneurial vision, to EEM.

UM's connections with The Herald continue to grow, which is evident in the number of student working there in various capacities and the number of current and former Herald staffers on faculty. Also, most UM print journalism professors worked at The Herald at some point.
