Good news Natalie that you're interested in getting an Austin chapter started. Let me know if you need any help connecting with HQ.

Howard Owens brought up a good point. so I am answering his challenge by running for president-elect of SPJ. Our industry faces a time of transition and fierce resistance to the kinds of changes the future demands. I'm running for the leadership position, because I want SPJ to lead the way into the future of journalism. I hope I can count on support from Wired Journalists for this endeavor. If you're an SPJ member. I humbly ask for your support. If you aren't, please join, or encourage members you know to support this cause. This is not about me personally. This is about adapting to the demands we all face in a rapidly changing business.
