i love the motive behind the creation of this group but the painful thing about it is that activities here are not high as expected.

Oooh boy!

To those who've never been to SF, I would recommend Haight-Ashbury, the Mission district, and walking either the Golden Gate or Coit Tower. I would not really recommend the trolleys, tbh -- an overpriced rough ride with elbow-to-elbow tourists squishing you from all sides -- but that's just me. Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf are a bit overrated and expensive. It's only good to see a whole lotta sea otters.

But do what you wanna do!

Also, BRING COATS. I know it's California, but it could be 80 degrees here in San Jose and 55 degrees just an hour north in SF.

I'm driving up Wednesday night and staying with a friend. Also my first ONA, although I've been to a few journalism conferences at the Powell St. Hilton.

I won't be joining ya'll at the bars but I'm down for street cars and Rice-a-Roni with Greg.

I arrive Thursday evening and leave early Sunday morning. I'm ready to ride the street cars and eat some Rice-a-Roni.

This will be my first ONA as well. I too am pysched. Since it's in my home city: Hoping we can find a bar before hand and hang out.
